Terms & Conditions

Introduction:- Please read our terms and conditions carefully while booking the job with Shifters.
These terms and Conditions explain the right, obligations and responsibilities of all parties to this agreement. The terms and conditions can be varied and amend, subject to prior written agreement. We limit our liabilities for losses and damages which are not in our control. We recommend you to arrange the insurance to cover your goods and premises.

• Our Quotation is for moving only and does not include any of the following charges Such as custom duties, toll charges, port charges, insurance, parking charges. Assembling, disassembling can be done for extra charges.

• Customer is responsible to ensure that, items delivered can fit the new premises; we can leave the items at the door steps, if the item is too big to be carried inside the house.

• It is customer’s responsibility to inform us about the accessibility to the premises, for example, no Vehicle access, narrow pathway or hallway conditions, no parking. We reserve the right to add extra cost.

• The following items will not be removed by the movers due to health and safety reasons any dangerous goods , including :- Gas bottles, paints, firearms, any precious items like jewellery , money , coins, stamps, metals, precious stones, any perishable good , animal , birds , fish or any other goods which requires special license.

• If you postpone or cancel this agreement, we can charge a reasonable cancellation fee.

• We accept cash and all other major credit cards with 2.5% surcharge.

• We guarantee for all jobs we perform. Client must report any damages before job completion. No claims will be accepted after the movers left the client’s premises. However we will provide coverage for any physical damage caused due to dropping, mishandling the items. Nevertheless we take care for your belongings while moving minor scratch on the floor/walls/goods sometime may happen due to various factor e.g. access to the property, narrow stairs, heavy and delicate goods.

• We are not responsible for any damages due to insufficient or inadequate packaging. We will not be liable for any damages. For any electrical goods which have pre existing damages we are not liable for any electrical goods internal damages due to moving.

• We do our best to arrive within time scale ,however time given to you is just a estimate time frame delays in pickup and delivery are sometimes unavoidable due to various reason (traffic, weather etc.) this is beyond our control.

• “Lien” is the legal right of the remover to hold goods until the client has paid out all outstanding charges. While we hold the goods you will be liable to pay all the storage charges and all other cost incurred in this process.

• We reserve the right to subcontract some of our work these condition will still be applied in any of the jobs performed by our contractor.

• Misbehaviours with the movers, threatening or verbal abuse with movers will be in tolerated, if the driver is forced to leave the job due to misbehaviour, the customer will still be liable to pay in full.

• We can decline any job if wrong information is provided at the time of booking, if the team is not comfortable to perform the job due to unacceptable behaviour of the customer or also due to work environment is not safe or there are any safety issues.

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and constructed in accordance with the law of New Zealand and the parties here by submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand Court.
